The Royal Paladins are like... hm. The face of knighthood, all white, platinum and shining justice. The Gold Paladins are more general, usually having more presence in smaller areas and tackling inhuman threats like monsters and helping with disasters.
We Shadow Paladins do the nasty, necessary things. Infiltration, spying, assassination. A bit of everything else, too, but that's the difference between us.
It wasn't a place where "light-hearted" things happened very often...

... I gained a lot of allies. I spent weeks building trust with people around me, working my way up in that twisted aristocratic system, trying to free people from the powers that controlled them...
But everything I worked for was lost in an instant.
