[ sometime after our deadmeows emerged, kate can be found at the grand library!

she's looking over the shelves with feelings of awe and joy that are clearly tangible and currently outshining the background noise of anxiety she otherwise feels. ]

There's so much... If only we had a place like this sooner.

[ while his own emotions are muted, carefully controlled, there's slight undercurrents that can be felt because otherwise this week would be real boring

and he's also pleased! and genuinely happy to see kate so enthused as well. ]

What's your genre of choice?

Nonfiction, usually... I like learning about the world, and how things work.

... Yes. It's a bit of a nuisance.

I'm not sure. Maybe I should try to learn about air travel? Or about other worlds...

Maybe we should find you some gloves as well.

[ other worlds... there would be books on that, somewhere, wouldn't there. that's a good idea. ]

Air travel, like aeroplanes? Or more like the pegasi?

I have some, but it's a bit of a tradeoff...

Yes, like aeroplanes. In a place like this, it might be useful to understand such things.

Your world doesn't have them, I take it.

[ that mansion had looked classic, but then... parts of his homeworld looked the same and they had space travel, so. there was no telling. ]
