[ she's welcome to do so - he'll shuffle over a little to make room. there's still quite a few cuts and burns on his visible skin as well as the missing piece of his shoulder, but most have begun to heal. ]
[ the plants are thriving, here. there's also the memorial garden, which looks freshly turned and tended to.
the status updates haven't reflected the changes to it yet but there's plots for everyone who has died. except scaramouche, who just has a scribbled sign. ]
I didn't get to speak to Essek before his death, actually. A regret, and though texting is an option it's a little impersonal.

I... got in a lot of trouble, before, but he was always there to help me. I was able to ask him for advice on things I couldn't talk to anyone else about, or he'd offer a shoulder to cry on...

And... he offered to help me with some of my problems at home, too. He's a little too aware of it, but he is a brilliant scientist.
