The game? ... Ah, yeah. The Eudora. We were stuck aboard a ship that'd been
compromised by some sort of infection. Said infection would... creep inside
of people, make them kill one another by preying on their anxiety and
panic. That ship we were on made deliveries across the stars - supplies and
such to different people, different planets...
Space travel would have been fascinating to experience for some of the less technologically advanced participants, again secondary to the infectious murder disease. Were you able to survive?
[ should he ask that? who knows. does it anyway. ]
I'm a knight. [ taps the pommel of his sword still at his waist. ] It's not always field work, unfortunately.
I did - but likely only because I had similar role to our hosts... we were
abducted from our own homes well before the others arrived - became part of
the crew, and then found ourselves infected as well, though it only
scrambled our minds, made us think we were contracted to work aboard the
ship, that we were happy to do so.
[ softly ]
It was only because of the new arrivals that we were able to become
ourselves again, break free.

That sounds like it would have been a pleasant trip without the forced attendance and the mind virus.

[ thin-lipped as he has to just. remember it. hateful. ]
Your office? What sort of work did you do before all this?

Yes, plenty. I'm a leader, so a good amount falls on me, even with one of my vice-leaders taking on more than usual.

Sounds like a heavy weight on your shoulders - and going from all that to this... did you get a chance to go home either?
